Viera Link provides unparalleled convenience for controlling all your audio-visual products connected to your Viera TV. With what used to be the job of three remotes, now your total entertainment system can be operated with a single TV remote through a seamless interface. Viera Link can even control your HD movie camera.

With seamless and consistent interface control between devices, Viera Link can provide simultaneous power down, TV and home cinema sound switching, one-touch home cinema playback as well as linking your HD video camera.

How does Viera Link work?

Viera Link works as a controller for your HDMI cabled componentry. As long as you have HDMI cables connecting your equipment, the Viera Link remote carries the commands through the system, to the appropriate unit. Your DVD recorder could be in another room and you could still control the unit's functions with your TV remote.

You get universal control of your HDMI home theatre equipment. Just point the remote at the one IR on your TV, and the signal will travel over the HDMI cables to the right piece of equipment.

What is HDMI?

The High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a connection system for digital video and audio that transmits signals, without deterioration, to achieve very high audio and video quality.

HDMI carries a full 1080p signal to connect digital sources such as set-top boxes, blu-ray players, personal computers, video game consoles, and AV receivers to compatible digital audio devices, video monitors, and digital televisions.

All Panasonic HDMI cables have passed HDMI compliance tests and are authorised by HDMI Licensing. Panasonic are one of the few companies to go through this process. To ensure the full functionality of Viera Link, it is vital a high-quality HDMI cable is used. Lower quality cables may not have the required number of connections to work.
