In a return to the essence of photography, Panasonic delivers the LEICA-lens equipped LX3: a unique digital compact camera for the serious photo enthusiast.

The centre of attention is the LX3’s dedicated Leica DC VARIO SUMMICRON 24mm-60mm (35mm equiv) zoom lens, which delivers extraordinarily clear images – mostly due to its astounding f/2.0-2.8 lens, allowing you to shoot high shutter speeds in low-lit situations, and produce expansive wide angle or macro shots with breathtaking depth-of-field.

The large, ultra high sensitivity, 1/1.63" 10.1 Mega-pixel CCD captures and reproduce extremely fine details with outstanding dynamic range and minimal noise, faithfully reproducing colours and tones even in high contrast or low light situations.

The LX3’s proven MEGA O.I.S optical image stabiliser and trusted “intelligent Auto” mode deliver reliably excellent images. But for those photographers who wish to be in charge, the LX3 offers full manual operation (including manual focus with image enlargement for pinpoint accuracy), and can capture the perfect shot in three aspect ratios, in RAW or JPEG, and – in Multi-Film Mode – up to three different effective film types with one press of the shutter button.

Because you never know when the action will happen, the LX3 handles 2.5 frames per second – and records 1280x720p HD resolution movies at 24fps. Whatever you shoot, view your results on the large, 460k Dot Resolution 3.0" LCD with its wide viewing angle and automatically adjusting brightness – or connect the camera to an HDTV for the big picture.

The LUMIX LX3 takes the super-compact digital camera format to new levels, distilling extremely high image quality, intuitive ease of use and unlimited creative possibilities into a remarkably small body.
