On-Screen Menu Icons Whenever you use one of the Panasonic DVD player models, you'll appreciate the convenience of its redesigned interface.  The setup screen is easier to follow thanks to a new screen design and remote control cursor display.  The cursor alone can be used to make all changes to the three menu bars for disc, player, and scanning information.  Instead of having to use the setup screen to change bar position, you can move it around so it doesn't get in the way while viewing a playback picture.

PAL Playback This is the visual format used in both New Zealand and Australia.

Panning Mode To capture a moving subject in clear detail while the background appears to flow by.  Panning mode lets the camera detect hand-shake and then automatically compensates for vertical jitter only.

Party Mode Uses MEGA O.I.S. to let you capture clear, jitter-free shots of subjects and natural, true-to-life colours - even in dim lighting.

Partial Delete and Recording The system even randomly accesses areas of the disc where parts have been deleted, and uses the disc space for a new recording.

PictBridge Compatible The PictBridge standard lets you print directly on a compatible digital printer.  Print Size, layout, date and other settings can be made with the camera.

Playlist Recording from Hard Disk Because there is no re-encoding (decoding of MPEG2 compression, and then encoding it into MPEG2 again) done when recording a TV program or edited playlist from the hard disk onto a DVD-RAM or DVD-R disc, the image quality remains extremely high.

Playlist Recording with Thumbnails You can rearrange scenes or delete unwanted ones with the Playlist function, then record the results onto a DVD-RAM or DVD-R disc.  With both disc types, the recorded playlist can be displayed as thumbnails, so it's easy to select the scenes you want to play back.

Portrait Mode This mode helps you take beautiful portraits by adjusting the exposure and colouration to produce natural, true-to-life skin tones.

Position Memory Lets you eject a disc part way through a movie and then resume watching from the same point later. This information can be stored for up to five disks, perfect for larger families with different tastes.

Power LCD Simply press a Power LCD button and the LCD becomes brighter, making it easier to see outdoors or in other bright locations.

Power Save Mode Reduces the display's brightness.

PP Mica Diaphragm for High Fidelity Sound PP Mica, used for Panasonic Mini System's cone diaphragm, boasts more rigidity than titanium, extremely light weight and a low specific gravity, as well as suitable internal loss.  These attributes are revealed in its outstanding transient response.  The range of pistonic motion is extremely wide and the cone diaphragm does not contain partial resonances, thereby assuring faithful response to the input signal.

Precise Image Quality (LA1) Some LCD TV's stretch the image horizontally, displaying black masks at the top and the bottom of the screen and distorting the image in the horizontal direction.  Not Panasonic.  Thanks to our high-precision pixel control, our LCD TV's fill the entire screen with the original, undistorted image.

Program AE Mode This mode determines the optimal aperture and shutter speed settings for you.

Progress Indicator The Progress Indicator function displays a scale at the top of the screen for at-a-glance confirmation of your current playback location and remaining play time.

Progressive PhotoShot Mode Helps to eliminate fuzziness by digitally capturing the image data of a singular moment, and temporarily storing it in two field memories. The two images are then combined to produce a better quality picture.

Progressive Scan Progressive scanning is a method of creating a high-density video signal that doubles the scan lines of a conventional interlaced signal to create a noticeably sharper picture. As a result progressive scanning offers high picture resolution.

Projector AI When selected, it automatically adjusts the lamp power to the optimum level to match the characteristics of the picture in real time.  The result is increased dynamic range for higher contrast.
