Q
Quasi 100 Hz System A quasi 100 Hz sub-field drive system detects when a PAL video signal is input and essentially doubles the number of fields displayed in a given time. This dramatically reduces the flicker that can occur when playing PAL sources.
Quick and Easy Set Up Panasonic's Easy 1-2-3 Set Up means even people unfamiliar with projectors will find it easy to get started. The top panel of the projector has three control buttons: POWER, INPUT and AUTO SETUP. Simply aim the projector at the screen and press the three buttons ...... it's that easy.
Quick Guide Setup Using Quick Guide Set Up lets you easily adjust troublesome initial settings such as screen size, subtitles and language simply by following the onscreen guidance.
Quick Music Navigation To simplify navigation, organise your files into folders by music type and artist before transferring to disc. A scrolling display switches between folder/file names, title/artist names, and other tag information - up to 128 characters each depending on the model - so you can manage more songs, more easily than with a CD. You can also enjoy random play, repeat and intro scan (first 10 seconds of each song) within a particular folder or across the entire disc. Welcome to the mobile audio revolution!
Quick Replay Simply press the quick replay button on the main unit or remote control during playback and playback starts from a point 7 - 10 seconds before. This is convenient if you miss a scene, don't catch the dialogue or want to watch a scene again.
Quick Scan Quickly scans your fax document into the memory, and then sends it from memory to recipient. This saves time otherwise spent waiting for pages to go through individually.
Quick Search & Access with Disc Navigator Unlike Video Tape, you don't need to rewind or fast-forward a DVD disc to search for specific scenes. The camcorder's LCD screen displays a list of the recorded scenes for quick and easy searching.
Quick Start The quick start button allows you to shoot video on the spur of the moment. You can be shooting those not-to-be missed scenes 1.3 - 1.7 seconds after turning on the power source.
Quick View (x1.3) Panasonic DVD Recorders are able to play back at 1.3 times the normal speed*, complete with sound, so you can quickly check the contents of a recorded program when you don't have time to watch it at normal speed. This feature can even be used during chasing playback**.
* - Cannot be used with programs recorded in the Linear PCM Format, or with DVD-R or DVD-Video discs.
** - Cannot be used while recording in XP or FR mode.
Quintrix F Picture Tube The Quintrix F Flat Picture Tube delivers natural and accurate images and text from corner to corner, free of distortion and reflections.
R
Radio DSP By digitally converting and processing FM/AM broadcast signals, adjacent interference and multipath distortion is reduced.
RDS Radio Data System. This feature will pick up the data provided from radio stations and display them on the screen.
Real Gamma Correction Panasonic's new Real Gamma Correction technology has enabled the industry-first reproduction of 1,024 shades of gradation in a high-definition plasma display. The result is far better reproduction of the low-light portions of the image. A weakness in other plasma displays.
Real MACH System The Real MACH System combines the MACH (Multi-facet Asymmetrical Configuration Hyper-Pixel) panel, designed to unleash the flat display's full potential, with the MACH Crystallizer, which optimizes the performance of display devices. Both panel and driver incorporate a wealth of Panasonic's advanced picture-enhancing technologies. Integrated into a single powerful system, they synergistically team up to provide levels of gradation, contrast and sharpness that best suit the way the human eye perceives. The result is a level of picture quality and image depth that makes for a truly breathtaking viewing experience.
Real-Time Histograms Check the exposure level in graph form. Instand confirmation of shooting performance
Real-Time VBR (Variable Bit Rate) Real Time VBR controls the rate of MPEG2 compression depending on scene complexity, varying it to enable more efficient recording.
Recording Mode Conversion When recording at normal speed from the hard disk to a DVD-RAM or DVD-R disc, you can convert from on recording mode to another.
Relief Recording The DMR-E100H and DMR-E85H automatically checks the remaining disc space, when recording onto a DVD-RAM or DVD-R disc. If there is not enough space it begins recording onto the hard disk. Relief recording kicks in even when you've forgotten to insert a disc.
Remote Shutter Especially useful when shooting at slow shutter speeds.
RGB Input Equipped with an RGB signal input terminal, T(Tau) GIGA can connect with a personal computer and serve as a monitor for surfing the Internet, or using CD-ROM based computer games and educational software.
RGB Input Indication The RGB INPUT indicator illuminates whenever the projector is receiving a signal from the PC. This helps simplify troubleshooting when there's a problem. For example, if the PC is connected but the RGB INPUT indicator is not illuminated, you know right away there's a problem with the PC settings.
