Panasonic New Zealand's Top 10 for 201419th May 2014     By: Panasonic Media

Monday 12 May, New Zealand -The annual Panasonic Consumer Roadshow is making its way around the country this month to launch the line up of new products and developments in technology for 2014.

The crowd favourite this year is the Lumix DMC-GH4, the newest addition to the mirrorless category and the world's first camera to record video in 4K.

The Lumix DMC-GH4 was recently named the 'Best Hybrid Photo/Video Camera' at the prestigious 2014 TIPA awards, widely recognised as one of the most coveted photo accolades worldwide.

This year 4K technology is a stand out feature in the majority of the consumer product categories from televisions to cameras and also Blu-Ray and Soundbar products.

"The development of 4K into the market allows the consumer to integrate the 4K content across a full range of products while maintaining an exceptional quality standard," says Chris Key, Marketing Manager Panasonic New Zealand.

The latest 4K product in the visual category is the AX800 series. This new range has been developed using the knowledge of Panasonic engineers from the plasma category who are now applying their expertise to the LED division.

"The new AX800 is the result of the best elements of plasma such as rich colours and excellent quality for fast moving objects making this LED range the best for watching movies and sports," says James Petterson, Visual Product Manager Panasonic New Zealand.

The roadshow will travel nationwide visiting 12 locations including all of New Zealand's main centres Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch plus smaller cities such as Whangarei, Hamilton, Rotorua, Napier, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Invercargill, Dunedin and Nelson.

New products from all consumer categories are released at the roadshow and retailers are introduced to the new line up for the upcoming year. Product categories include Optical & Media, Home appliances, Audio, DVD & Blu Ray and Visual.

Each year the roadshow attracts over 500 retailers throughout New Zealand with up to 300 attending the Auckland show alone.
