Wednesday 11 June 2014, New Zealand -Panasonic New Zealand received a Merit in the Industrial Property Award category at a black tie dinner in front of a thousand industry delegates last week.


The Property Council New Zealand Rider Levett Bucknail Property Awards 2014 are long running and highly respected awards recognising excellence in all areas of the property industry.


"Panasonic is a proud New Zealand brand our major investment in this building is statement of our commitment to New Zealand," says Panasonic New Zealand Managing Director Stewart Fowler.


"Our business is growing strongly and expanding into exciting new categories including consumer white ware. The building has been designed and purpose built to support this growth with a larger warehouse larger warehouse and distribution facility, specifically designed to improve the efficiency and the service we offer our customers," he said.

The building was designed with the highest specification to serve the business into the future and wherever possible is a showcase of Panasonic's products and solutions, such as top end LED presentation screens and PBX to security systems to protect the warehouse of inventory.


The winner on the night was Ceres Organics Auckland and FLEX Auckland  was also awarded a Merit award. Other finalists in the Industrial Property Award included Torpedo 7, Distribution Centre Hamilton, Speight's Brewery Dunedin, Mainstream Building Auckland and Signode Packaging Group Auckland.

The Panasonic building is a 5,353.50 sqm warehouse, 2,190.10 sqm two storey office, with a 699.60 sqm canopy and associated yards and car parking areas. The site area is 13,374 sqm.

-          A new office facility of 2,149.10 sqm on two levels

-          An attached warehouse of 5,353.50 sqm plus a canopy of 699.60 sqm and a yard to the north of the site

-          Carparking for 100 cars east of the building
