Panasonic New Zealand is a proud partner of Auckland's new
Vector Wero Whitewater Park, an artificial river and water course
for recreation, sports, emergency services training, school
programmes and youth development.
Located in the heart of Manukau, Vector Wero Whitewater Park is
a world class tourism destination that engages with local
communities and youth. It is New Zealand's first facility which
offers an artificial river and water course for recreation, sports,
and emergency services training, school programmes and youth
As part of the partnership, Panasonic New Zealand has supported
Wero Whitewater Park with the development of their interactive
state-of-the-art educational facilities. Before hitting the water,
students are briefed with an interactive water safety session which
promotes water safety and teaches students the confidence and
survival skills to be better prepared and safely enjoy the
Led by Olympic gold medal champion Ian Ferguson and his team,
the park is developed and operated on behalf of the community by
Second Nature Charitable Trust which reinvests the corporate
dollars into educational and community programmes.
