Panasonic is proud to announce they are leading the pack by
switching its residential and light commercial air conditioning
units sold in New Zealand to new R32 refrigerant from Autumn
2019.
Globally, R32 is becoming the industry standard because of its
superior environmental impact over existing refrigerants. The move
comes after Europe made it compulsory to replace all fluorinated
gases for environmental reasons by 2030.
However, Panasonic isn't waiting and is making the change now,
in line with its commitment to invest in technologies that improve
people's lives.
"R32 is an innovative refrigerant in all ways imaginable - it's
easy to install, environmentally friendly and saves energy," says
Panasonic Air Conditioner product manager Darren Hayward.
Benefits of R32 include:
- 0% ozone depletion*
- Reduces electricity costs as it consumes less energy
- 30% less refrigerant
- 75% less global warming impact
- Low toxicity
"At Panasonic, we are committed to healthier lifestyles and to
reducing our environmental footprint. That's why we're moving our
entire range to the eco-friendlier R32 refrigerant in all our
domestic air conditioners, which will be available in New Zealand
from April 2019."
Panasonic air conditioners are highly reliable and very
efficient, with minimum noise impact and a low environmental
footprint.
"At Panasonic we believe in creating technology that improves
people's lives, while also helping the planet. The switch to R32 is
another example of that philosophy," says Hayward.
The new range of Panasonic air conditioners are available from
select Panasonic Air Conditioner suppliers nationwide.
